Attention all club officers! Sewing Club is starting on sashes! If your club is interested in ordering, come by the sewing room Tuesdays and Thursdays after school at A-05 and let us know.  Order before the price goes up! See you there!

Hey Sixers!  October is College Awareness month.  Did you know that Oberlin College in the state of Ohio was the first college to admit both men and women in 1837? Mary Caroline Rudd, Mary Hosford and Elizabeth Prall were the first females to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1841.  If they were all able to graduate in 4 years back then, so can you!

Hey Seniors, if you are applying to any private colleges this year, you must attend the brief workshop after school today. It will be held during 7th period and after school in the C Commons. Learn how to request letters of recommendation and documents from your counselor! Again, that’s in the C Commons today during 7th period and after school for anyone applying to private universities.

Seniors, need help with your financial aid forms? Thursday october 24th the experts will be here to help you in the school library from 2:15pm to 6:00pm. Get those FASFA and CA Dream Act done. This is how you get the money. 

Have any wearable shoes just lain around? From now till Halloween, Step30 is accepting shoe donations for children in Uganda and Kenya. Giving these children shoes can protect them from fleas and parasites that can fatally infect them. For more information, check SchoolLoop news column.

Attention all ladies! Interested in playing soccer for Independence? There is an informational meeting TODAYabout the girls soccer program and its upcoming try-outs and season will be held in room, D-408 during lunch time. All are welcome! Looking forward to seeing you there.

She’s the dean of health occupations and will be talking about available medical programs and health pathways from the community college route! Stop by K-34 today at lunch to earn 1/3 of an act and don’t miss out!

CALLING ALL SENIORS! The San Jose Public Library will be hosting their Cash for College event tomorrow on Tuesday, October 22nd at the Educational Park Library. Attend from 4PM to 7PM to learn how to fill out your FASFA or California Dream Act Application. Get prepared for college! 

Hey Sixers! Our very own Track and field team is selling Breast Cancer awareness bracelets and pins, $2 each and $3 if you buy both! Buy it from any track and field athlete throughout the month of October. Help out the team and show support towards breast cancer awareness.

Hey Future Coders! Do you want to make a website, a video game, or an app? Ever wanted to learn how to program? Never had the resources, time, or motivation? Computer Science Club is your perfect solution! We meet today from 3:15 – 4:30 PM in K-33, Mrs. Westlake’s room. Swing on by to learn the basics of multiple Computer Science languages, from HTML to Python and many more. No experience needed! See you on Monday!

Students and staff, please help us make a change in the fight against breast cancer by dropping off your change in ms finneys office located in a-06 or come to tmrs volleyball game and help us fill our change jar and of course cheer on the Lady Sixers for their fight against breast cancer.

SIXERS! Homecoming results are in! Can we get a drumroll for the results?! In fourth place, we have the FRESHMEN! In third place, we have the JUNIORS! In second place, we have the SOPHOMORES! And taking the dub is SENIORS! Thank you everyone who made this homecoming season spectacular.
