TOP OF THE MORNING SIXERS! This is your daily bulletin for Thursday, January 30th, 2020. 

  1. It’s that time of year Sixers! ASB Election Voting is TODAY during lunch and after school in A Lounge (A-02)! Come out and cast your vote to support your candidates in A-02 during lunch and afterschool!

  2. Class of 2020 Graduation is closer than you think.  To avoid paying rush charges for your Senior Portraits please call JP Impressions to order or have your website re posted.  They are open most Saturdays for your ordering convenience as well.

  3. Multicultural sign ups are posted on our social media pages and the IHS Activities website! Sign up as soon as you can to reserve your spot! They close tomorrow, the 31st.

  4. Yearbooks are now on sale online and in the A-06 bank for only $65! Buy before the end of February before the price rises again! What better way to look back at the year than buying a yearbook! 

  5.  Hey Sixer ! The Black Student Union is beginning it’s first community book drive to benefit reading heart, a charity that has collected over 1 million books. Please donate all books to room c-404. The last day to donate will be March 1st. Any gently used books are fine to donate. Thank you ! And a reminder that general meetings are every collaboration Thursday during lunch in room C-404. We hope to see you there ! 

  6. Hey Seniors! IF you’re an athlete and plan to be a teacher…I have scholarship you can apply for worth $500. IF you’re an athlete that will play three sports this year, I have a scholarship you can apply for worth $500. IF you’re an athlete and you have at least a 3.0 and have done some community service I have a scholarship you can apply for worth $1500. IF you think you qualify for any of these, see Coach Finney in A-0-6…deadlines are soon, but it’s a chance to get free money for college if you qualify!!!

  7. Boys tennis try out starts next week February 3 at the tennis courts at 3:30 pm. Be sure to be cleared on athleticclearance.com and submit your physical.

  8. Boys tennis meeting Thursday during lunch at A404.

  9. It’s time for German Club’s annual Schnitzelfest!!! Come enjoy delicious all you can eat German food and desserts! The event will be on Wednesday, February 12th from 3:15-5:30pm in C-Commons! Tickets are $7 from any german club officer & $8 at the door!

  10. Hey friends! Acts of Random Kindness Club will be selling Valentine’s grams! Each gram will include three heart-shaped French macarons and a cute gram design, ONLY for $3! We will be delivering to 3rd, 4th, and 5th period on Valentine’s Day. You can buy grams from any ARK officer or Ms. Helmer in C311. 

  11. Hey pals! Bring Change to Mind Club will be selling PALentine Grams for your friends! Our grams include 1 yellow rose, 1 cookie, 3 chocolates, and a cute customized card all for only $3. You can buy them from any BC2M officers or Ms. Dang in C307 before February 12. We will be delivering them on Valentine’s Day during 3rd, 4th or 5th periods.

  12. Attention anyone interested in joining the Independence Swimming and Diving Team! We will be having a preseason meeting today during lunch in room C-402. Please join us in room C-402 during lunchtime today!
