Daily Bulletin (2/11)

Spirit week is going on strong Sixers! This is your daily bulletin for Tuesday, February 11th, 2020. 

1. Today is day two of IHS Week of Love! Thank you everyone for dressing out for Pride Day! Tomorrow is Teddy Bear Day, so bring a beloved teddy bear or wear teddy sherpa jackets! ! 

2. Class of 2020 Graduation is closer than you think.  To avoid paying rush charges for your Senior Portraits please call JP Impressions to order or have your website re posted.  They are open most Saturdays for your ordering convenience as well.

3. Yearbooks are now on sale online and in the A-06 bank for only $65! Buy before February 29th at yearbookordercenter.com, and use the code “6072”! What better way to look back at the year than buying a yearbook! 

4. Hey Seniors!! Have you taken your senior portraits? Do you want to submit a senior quote for the yearbook? Well now you can! Submit your quote at tinyurl.com/IHSSeniorQuotes2020, again, tinyurl.com/IHSSeniorQuotes2020, or go to @ihs.yearbookclub and click the link in their bio. 

5. Can you make flyers and videos? Do you want to be more involved with the school? Do you want to improve your leadership skills? Apply to be ASB Historian for the 2020-2021 term! Apply though the link, tinyurl.com/ASBHistorianApp and apply today! Applications are due February 23rd!

6. Still hesitant on applying or want to learn some tips and tricks to design? Attend our historian workshop on Thursday, February 13th in the iCafé from 3:15-5pm! It’s open to everyone who’s interested in learning something new! Hope to see you soon! 

7. If any clubs are still interested in signing up for Multi Rally, WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING CLUBS! 

8. All girls interested in playing in the volleyball spring league known as Mai Ka Lani, please come to an informational meeting at lunch today, Tuesday in I-Cafe. If you miss the meeting see Coach Finney ASAP the season starts March 1st.

9. Hey hey everyone! Acts of Random Kindness and UNICEF will be having a movie night on Friday, February 14th, from 3:30-5:30 at D-Commons! We will be showing “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before 2,” and admission to watch is FREE! Come and watch with your friends!

10. Hey Seniors, Application workshops start today for community colleges. Mission College is holding their workshop today during 3rd and 5th periods in the Library. Register for the workshop through Naviance or by emailing Mr. Hennessey and bring your social security or green card number. Also, our 2nd Cash for College workshop is today, February 11th in the IHS Library from 2-6pm. Bring your tax and financial documents and get 1 on 1 help completing the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application.

11. Hi Sixers! Are you interested in the German Club’s annual Schnitzelfest is this week!!! Come enjoy delicious all you can eat German food and desserts! The event will be this Wednesday, February 12th from 3:15-5:30pm in C-Commons! Tickets are $7 from any german club officer & $8 at the door!

12. SASHES ARE GOING UP AGAIN!! Sashes will be additional $5 after this Friday, February 14!! HURRY and  Come to the sewing room today and Thursdays after school at A-05 and place your orders! See you soon!! 

13. Hey friends! Acts of Random Kindness Club will be selling Valentine’s grams! Each gram will include three heart-shaped French macarons and a cute gram design, ONLY for $3! We will be delivering to 3rd, 4th, and 5th period on Valentine’s Day. You can buy grams from any ARK officer or Ms. Helmer in C311.

14.  (READ AS A POEM) Hey single mingles & love doveys! / Valentine’s Day is nearing, / show love to those endearing! / Send a hand-crocheted rose, with candy & your prose. / Yellow, pink, white, or red, / one for a friend or the one you might wed. / On sale Monday to Friday in A-05 @ lunch / Buy from Sewing club, just one or a bunch! 

15. Hey pals! Bring Change to Mind Club will be selling PALentine Grams for your friends! Our grams include 1 yellow rose, 1 cookie, 3 chocolates, and a cute customized card all for only $3. You can buy them from any BC2M officers or Ms. Dang in C307 before February 12. We will be delivering them on Valentine’s Day during 3rd, 4th or 5th periods.

16. Hey Sixers! Independence Key Club will be having a TPumps fundraiser TODAY after school in front of the pool. The flavors include PMS Green Milk Tea and Rose Strawberry Black Milk Tea, both with honey boba. Each drink is only $5, so be sure to grab a refreshing drink while supporting the club.

17.  Key Club will be selling Valentine’s Day grams from now til the 13th! We’ll be selling heart-shaped rice krispie treats along with cute gran designs for only $2. However, you can pay an addition $1 for a balloon! If interested, be sure to contact any Key Club board member or officer. 

18. Hope you been keeping up with our Key Club updates, from Valentine’s Day grams and the T-Pumps fundraiser today! With all that, we will be having a very important Key Club meeting today, where you will be able to vote for your next year’s 2020-2021 Key Club President! If you are an official paid dues member of Key Club, you are legible to vote for the presidential candidates. If not, you can still join our meeting for updates and to witness the election process!

19. Hey Sixers! Winter is flying by and Valentines Day is right around the corner. Show your love for your friends and classmates by buying Chess Club’s Brookie Grams, with the frankendessert goodie bag and a personalized note all for only $3.00! Ask a Chess Club officer to learn how you can support our club and give some joy during the holiday by buying a Brookie Gram for Valentines Day!

20. It’s tapiokay to be single on Valentine’s Day :)) we still think you’re tea-riffic love 2022, the class of 2022 is selling tpumps on friday during 6th and 7th infront of the pool with the flavors: pms, rose Vanilla black milk tea, and tropical trio with boba.

21. The fourth grading period is flying by, and what better way to celebrate the end of winter than by buying a Valentines Day Gram from the IHS Black Student Union. The grams come with a little heartfelt note and miniature fruit kebabs, all for $2.00! If you want to spread some love and happiness this holiday and support the Black Student Union, ask a member of the club how you can buy some of our Valentines Day Grams!

22.  The Black Student Union is hosting a book drive to donate to charity for all of Black History Month. Please support BSU by donating any and all books that you can to Room C404 or to Mr. Flournoy before March 1st. Thank you so much and we hope you have a wonderful Black History Month!

23.  Hey Lovebirds, Pre-Med is selling Valentine Grams for only $3. The gram includes 2 fake roses, a medical themed card, a ferrero rocher, and kisses! Buy from any Pre-Med officer or from an advisor @ K-34 before we sell out! 

24. The class of 2021 will be selling their world famous brownies as Valentines Grams for only $1 dollars! Each gram comes with one brownie and a greetings card! You can buy yours special someone for only 1 dollar, sales end February 12th! 

25. T.A.I.L.S. is selling Valentine grams, which includes a whale plushie and kisses, for 4 dollars. If you’re interested, you can buy one from any TAILS officer or at C-305, Mr. Haworth’s room, on Wednesday, February 12th.
