The Varsity Basketball team pulled off the upset last night in the CCS quarterfinals over Los Altos High School, defeating the Eagles 61-54. Trailing by 8 in the final quarter, the resilient Sixers outscored Los Altos 24-9 in the final stanza. The Mt. Hamilton League Junior of the Year, Alex Perez, led all scorers with 23 points, 19 of which came in the 2nd half. Mt Hamilton 1st Team All League award winner, James Cahiga, had 19. While Junior Tobey Flores added 13, including the clutch corner 3 that gave the Sixers the lead for good. Next up, your Sixers will face Sequoia HS of Redwood City in the section semifinal on Thursday @ Fremont HS in Sunnyvale. Visit cifccs.org to purchase tickets as the event is sure to sell out.
